Care Guide

Planting. Hedera helix is a hardy and versatile climber - they can survive in almost any soil so long as they have adequate drainage. Like any plant though, they will do best when planted in a nutrient-rich soil or potting mix. When choosing a spot to plant your Ivy keep in mind they have an invasive nature - plant in a pot or raised garden bed to prevent it from escaping.

Environment. Hedera helix is sought-after for its versatility when it comes to climates - they are both drought and frost hardy! They thrive in shaded to partially shaded positions and do best with plenty of access to indirect light. Ivy is more than happy to live indoors or outdoors, so these plants are great for any household!

Lighting. Although these plants will survive in heavily shaded areas, they do best when positioned in plenty of indirect light. In order for the more variegated varieties to maintain their variegation, they require a good amount of light.

Watering. Hedera helix benefit from regular watering - when the soil is dry give them a bit of a top up! They can sustain themselves for periods without water though, so don't fret too much if you forget to water them for a week.
