Strobilanthes are a popular feature plant because of their vibrant, unique foliage. The alternata variety features a deep green colour on the top of the leaves, and a dark burgundy on the undersides. They thrive in shaded or partly shaded areas and are perfect for adding a splash of contrast to any room. Although they can be grown outside, a brightly lit indoor or partly shaded area like a patio is ideal for keeping them looking their best.
